At Konceptual Lab, we are passionate about empowering educators to unlock the full potential of their students through the proven strategies of Singapore mathematics.

 

Founded in 2024 by Regine Hou, Konceptual Lab is dedicated to training teachers to develop learners’ cognitive abilities and foster a deep, conceptual understanding of mathematics.

Regine’s journey with Singapore mathematics began at the National Institute of Education (Singapore), where she trained under the developers and authors of the curriculum widely recognised as one of the best in the world. From 2006 to 2016, she taught in Singapore public schools, honing her expertise and understanding of this effective pedagogy.

​

After moving abroad in 2016, Regine taught in private and international schools in New Zealand and the Bahamas. Her wealth of experience enabled her to successfully implement the Singapore mathematics curriculum in an international school, where she served as Head of Mathematics. Within a year and a half, her leadership elevated the school’s mathematics achievement above the national average.

​

Recognising the transformative impact of mentoring teachers and designing programs tailored to diverse educational needs aligned with the Singapore mathematics pedagogy, Regine founded Konceptual Lab to bring these proven methodologies to schools worldwide. Her vision is to inspire educators, enhance teaching practices, and create a lasting, positive impact on student learning.
